Solano County Drug Trafficking Lawyers
Accused of trafficking? Get aggressive criminal attorneys on your side.
There is little doubt that being charged with drug trafficking is a very serious matter. The penalties that could be imposed upon you is based upon the amount of drugs that is alleged to have been involved and could reach up to years in state prison, the forfeiture of your personal property, as well as fines in the tens of thousands of dollars. For a first-time trafficking offense, for at least 2 lbs of marijuana, the penalties imposed can be 1 year in jail and a $5,000 fine.
For a larger amount, or a great number of plants, such as a grow house, the penalties are increased to 2 years in state prison and a $10,000 fine. For between 10–50 plants, you could expect 3 years in prison and a fine of $15,000, or a larger amount – this can be a fine that is set to "exhaust the assets utilized in and the proceeds of the illegal activity."

For other types of drugs, classified as either Schedule I or Schedule II narcotics, when between 2–10 grams of the substance is involved, the fine can be $5,000 and 2 years in prison. If the individual has a prior conviction for trafficking, this penalty will be increased to 3 years in prison and a $10,000 fine, or higher, based upon an amount that is determined to be sufficient to exhaust the assets utilized in and the proceeds of drug trafficking. Essentially, you can lose everything.
